FRANKLIN NORTH CAROLINA (Southwestern corner): Adopted!!!

Rex is a very friendly and handsome young (neutered) male Anatolian Shepherd Dog.
He was found as a stray by an elderly couple. They thought they would keep him but decided he was too big and too much for them to handle.
Not wanting him to go to a shelter or starve on his own, they took him to the vet to be euthanized.

The vet could not bring himself to put down this young, healthy, friendly dog so he neutered and vetted him and found a temporary foster for him.
Rex is now looking for either a foster where he can stay until he is adopted or, better yet, a "forever" adoptive home.

Rex is friendly with people and kids; he is good with other dogs and cats. He walks on lead, knows basic commands but responds to them in true Anatolian fashion (at his own pace and discretion). =)

Rex is neutered, current on shots, heartworm negative and on preventative. He weighs over 100 pounds and stands appx 32" at the shoulder.

We will help with transport within appx 1000 miles.

For more information, please email Carleen at
nasrn@nasrn.com

This is a 2 yo male Anatolian Shepherd dog that was turned into the shelter by his owner bc he was no longer able to care for him.

He is very friendly with people, but will need some basic obedience training since his owner never bothered to do any.
This is a really nice dog!

He is in need of a foster or adoptive home.

New England

ADOPTION PENDING

Meet Keeta!! The beautiful Anatolian Shepard, aka Special K.
Keeta is a very fit pure-bred ASD female who turned nine on Jan. 1st. Keeta was rescued on Dec. 17, with only ONE day left before her owners were going to euthanize her . With little money and having lost their house -- their desperation showed in Keeta's neglect.
Keeta came into NASRN filthy, underweight, under-nourished and with mast cell tumors. She never showed any sign of physical abuse.

After several loving months, appropriate vet care, nutritious food and homeopathy - this girl has a whole new lease on life!
Keeta is an easy keeper, a very well-mannered dog in the house and on-lead. She ADORES Cats and lived happily with them and horses in her first home.

With her people, she is playful, loves to spoon and hangout. She is mellow, and yet, always watchful.
Keeta prefers to be an only dog (or kept separate) as she has been an only dog her whole life. If you have room in your life and heart to help this lovely girl we can promise you that she will return your love ten-fold.
We will transport up to 1000 miles.

For more information, please email Mary at

18 M/O FEMALE ANATOLIAN, DOTHAN ALABAMA

Meet Miss Maggie.
She was pulled off death row from a shelter after she was picked up as a stray. She was extremely underweight and had obviously not been well cared for.

Maggie is a beautiful girl with a really nice temperament. She is appropriately protective but is also friendly and good with people and children as well.

Maggie is good with other dogs except for dominant female dogs. She is calm and quiet around livestock, however, since she is so people oriented she is not well suited to being a working dog.

She would do well in either a suburban family companion home or would also do well on a small family farm as long as she is allowed indoors to be part of the family.

Maggie is crate trained and house broken but she still needs some work on leash manners.
She is still puppyish so would do well with another dog to play with.

We will assist with transport within appx 1,000 miles.

For more information, please email Carleen at
nasrn@nasrn.com
