"MYRA GOES HOME"

This picture was taken of Myra when she was in an Indiana shelter.
She was too frightened to be put up for adoption
so the shelter asked us if we could take her.

Myra caught the eye of a family in Maryland
who has been looking to adopt and thanks to the efforts
of our wonderful Transport Coordinators Beth Goldowitz and Juliana Lipe,
PLUS all the wonderful transport drivers
Myra is now in her new home.

Here's wishing Myra and her new family many years of happiness together.
Thank you to everyone that helped make this possible for Miss Myra

"BREE"\
"ADOPTED"
OLATHE KANSAS

Bree is a beautiful spayed female Anatolian Shepherd Dog
that was just pulled off death row in a kill shelter.
She is appx 12-18 months old
is current on shots and is heartworm negative.
Bree seems to be in good health
other than being about 15-20 pounds underweight.

Bree is an extremely nice girl!
She loves people and loves to do the Anatolian Lean.
She is housebroken and is learning basic commands.
She could use some work on leash manners
but she is a smart girl and picks things up quickly.

Bree is good with the other dogs in her foster home
and is still very puppyish and playful.
She will make a great companion dog as she has
a wonderful temperament and loves to be a part of the family.

Please email Carleen for more information.

"EROL"
LAURENS, SOUTH CAROLINA
UPDATE ON EROL

We were able to find a boarding kennel to send Erol to
so he was not put to sleep.
This poor boy has had a very rough life.
He is very skinny and also tested positive for heartworms
We will begin treating him with ivomec
for the slow kill treatment
as soon as we can get him into a foster home.
The slow kill method is just a monthly dose of ivomec
which NASRN will provide.

Despite his obviously painful life,
Erol remains gentle and docile with all he meets.
He's very depressed and not eating well.
We are in desperate need of a foster home for this boy
not only for his well being but also
because the boarding kennel is expensive and
we cannot afford to board him for too long.

Please let us know if you might be able to help this sweet boy!
Please email Carleen for more information.

"PUPPY LOVE"

I'm always posting urgent  death row notices
so I thought it would be nice
to post something we could all smile about.

This is a picture of "Kenai".
When he and his 8 litter mates were only 2-3 days old
they went to one of our super
NASRN foster moms
She took great care of mom and the pups
and now all but 1 are in their new
"fur-ever" homes.

Here is "little" Kenai on his mom's lap
and playing tug of war with his new best friend "Sitka"
(also a NASRN rescue many yrs ago)

It's good to see both Sitka and Kenai so happy.
Hope they bring a smile to your face today
like they did to me.

BELLINGHAM WASHINGTON

Buddy is currently in a no kill shelter and is looking for
either a foster or adoptive home.
Buddy's former owners kept him outside, alone,
and did not feed him regularly.
He is a very skinny 70 lbs right now but the shelter
is trying hard to put some weight back on him.
He may not gain much weight, though,  being in the stressful environment of a shelter.

Buddy would LOVE to have a home to call his own.
Even a foster home would help!
He is friendly with people
and is good with other dogs.

Buddy is also good with children.
The shelter reports that he LOVES kids.
He knows basic commands
and walks well on leash too.

PLEASE
let us know if you might be interested

Shane is a very handsome and sweet Anatolian Shepherd Dog puppy.
His appx DOB is 2/15/10
He is very skinny right now but otherwise seems in good health.

We believe Shane was dumped , abandoned, left to fend for himself.
He had been seen wandering through a rough neighborhood
before he was picked up and brought to the shelter.
He is scared right now as he has been through a lot lately.
First he was dumped, alone and scared
then he was picked up and taken to the noisy shelter.
He is very sweet and really really wants to bond with someone.

if anyone is able to foster or wants to adopt
this big sweet baby boy.
