ADOPTED
WASECA MINNESOTA

Happy is a beautiful red fawn pure bred Anatolian Shepherd Dog.
She is 4 yrs old, spayed, in good health and weighs 110 lbs.

and later sold Happy.
She has been a little too rough with the show goats that her new owners raise
and therefore she is looking for a new home.

She would be fine as an only dog or paired with a large male dog perhaps.
Happy would really love to be a part of the family and will make
an excellent family companion and guardian.

"LACY"

"DOLLARS FOR DOGS"
FUNDRAISER FOR LACY AND AMOTTI'S
VET BILLS

UPDATE: 6/26/11
Lacy went to the vet last week and sadly she has been diagnosed with bone cancer.
The doctor estimated that she has a few more months to live, however, we
have a consultation scheduled with a homeopathic doctor who specializes in
cancer patients.   He has worked with another NASRN rescue dog, Keeta.
Keeta was also diagnosed with cancer and given a few months to live, however,
since she has been treated with Dr. Loops' homeopathic remedies, she
is still going strong appx 18 months later!
Dr. Loops has been kind enough to work with us on costs and we are extremely
grateful for that.

Please keep Lacy in your thoughts and prayers.
We are hoping she might be as lucky as Keeta and  will still have many happy days
ahead of her.
Right now she is happy and playful and is loving life in her foster home.

NASRN is having a Dollars for Dogs fundraiser
to raise money to pay for vet bills for Lacy and Amotti.

Lacy, pictured above, was recently pulled from a kill shelter.
Her owner passed away several years ago and after he died
his wife put Lacy in the basement and left her there.  For about 3 yrs.
Lacy lived alone in the darkness with no companionship and no exercise.
She is showing signs of arthritis and she needs xrays so we can determine
her course of treatment.
She also has some fluid filled cysts that need to be tested plus she is on expensive
anti-inflammatory and pain meds for her joint issues.
Lacy's vet bills to date are $670.

Amotti, pictured below, is in need of surgery to remove one of his toes.
His toe has been sore for awhile and despite trips to the vet, e collars &
antibiotics, it just never seems to heal.
So it was xrayed and the dr said he has an infection in the bone and the
toe should be amputated.
Estimated cost of the amputation alone is appx $700.

Our goal for this fundraiser is $1370.
You can either donate via pay pal at the link below or you
can mail a check to the address below.

or mail a check to
NASRN
PO Box 13667
Mesa, AZ  85216

NASRN is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit organization
and your donations are tax deductible.
As a 501(c)(3) group we do not have any paid staff
or other administrative overhead so all of our funds
go directly to the dogs.

Thanks so much for any help!
No donation is too small
it all adds up and we are very thankful for your kindness.

Please email Carleen with any questions

"RUSTY"

SEVEN HILLS OHIO:
UPDATE 6/13/11:
Rusty's owners are going to try to work
with a trainer & try to keep him.
Hoping Rusty wont have to move again!

This poor dog has been bounced around from one person to another and he is SO badly just wants a family that will love him and not kick him out again.

He was first turned into a shelter bc his owner didnt have time for him and the other dogs in the home.
After that he was transported 1,000 miles to a woman we all thought would be his "forever home".
Too bad for Rusty, though, because his supposed new owner didnt like the way he looked.
So she sent him all the way back to OH right after she got him.
Rusty traveled 2,000 miles for "nothing" and was kicked to the curb just because she didnt like the way he looked.

Rusty was understandably stressed out after all of this unrest and turmoil in his life and his foster parents were not able to take care of him anymore either.
So then Rusty went to a boarding kennel and was adopted to yet another person, only to be kicked out again without them ever giving him a chance.

Rusty Is a great dog!!! He just needs some stability in his life and someone to give him some TLC.
He is good with dogs and friendly with people. He is such a wonderful dog and has so much to offer......if someone would just give him a chance and stop shoving him out the door.
This is Rusty's bio:

Rusty is a 1 yo male Anatolian Shepherd Dog mix. He is very sweet natured and friendly. Rusty is great with people and friendly with other dogs. He will make a wonderful companion dog and family guardian.

We will help with transport within appx 1,000 miles.

"GERDIE & GOLDIE"
COEUR D'ALENE IDAHO
URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTION NEEDED ASAP

Gerdie and Goldie are appx 2 1/2 yrs old, spayed female Anatolian Shepherd Dogs.
Their original owner was no longer able to care for them
and they have been in one of our foster homes for a few months.
Unfortunately, their foster mom has become very ill
and is not able to take care of them.
So Goldie and Gerdie are in need of either
a new foster home or an adoptive home.
They will do best if they are able to stay together as they are very bonded.

G&G have been raised with and lived with goats their whole lives.
They are very friendly with people and would easily adapt to being
family companions too.
Gerdie had one of her front legs amputated about a year ago
but she does a good job of getting around as a tri-pawd dog.

Since they are friendly with people and also good with goats,
they would do well in either a family companion home
or a small family farm.

If you are interested in either fostering or adopting these girls
please email Carleen for more info
